MANSEHRA: Police on Sunday arrested two men for allegedly assaulting a minor boy in the Baffa area of the district.

“We have arrested two accused after the medical examination confirmed assault on a nine-year-old boy,” a press release issued by the police said.

A woman lodged an FIR with the police, stating that the accused, Saim Khan and Abdullah, lured her nine-year-old son to a deserted place nearby and assaulted him.

“Both accused threatened to kill my child if he disclosed what had happened to him,” she said, adding, “Since the tragic incident, my son had remained quiet and did not talk to anyone as he was traumatised.”

The woman said that when family members encouraged the child to disclose what had happened to him, he told them that both accused had lured him to the deserted place and assaulted him.

According to the police, a team headed by the Baffa police station SHO conducted raids and arrested both accused.
