Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described the Minab school massacre as an eternal wound on Iran, urging people and contemporary art enthusiasts to visit an exhibition featuring paintings inspired by the incident, according to state-run IRNA news agency.

In an Instagram post last night, Araghchi said he had visited the exhibition the previous day, describing it as a place where art “weeps and makes others weep”.

“Behind these colors and images stands the bitter memory of a crime committed by enemies of Iran against innocent children of this land,” he said, stressing that the tragedy would neither disappear with time nor be erased from the grieving nation’s memory.
