Centcom dismisses Iranian claims of tanker hitting mines in Strait of Hormuz

US Central Command (Centcom) has denied claims by Iran that a supertanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz was brought to a halt after hitting two mines.

“No ships have hit mines in the Strait of Hormuz. This is yet another IRGC attempt to intimidate regional commercial shipping through disinformation,” Centcom says in a post on X.
