French finance minister calls for sustained economic pressure on Iran

French Finance Minister Roland Lescure has said France wants economic pressure on Iran to continue, Al Jazeera reports.

Speaking to the news outlet, Lescure says France will discuss with the US administration and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent what they intend to do regarding Iran.

“France and the European Union have imposed strong economic pressure on Iran for years, and we want to continue doing so,” he says.
