Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Iran Zahidi Nizomiddin Shamsiddinzoda has stressed his country’s opposition to sanctions against Iran, state news agency IRNA reports.
“Sanctions are not in the interest of any country, and many sanctions violate international law; however, unfortunately, in today’s world, sanctions are being used as a leverage to resolve political issues,” he says.
He notes that over the past 35 years, Tehran and Dushanbe have always strived to develop bilateral ties, and a strategic partnership has formed between the two countries.
