Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says that continued attacks on its territory by the US “will only tighten the lock on the Strait of Hormuz”, according to the Fars news agency.
In comments carried by Fars, the IRGC says it has begun its response and that civilian sites were attacked by the US along Iran’s southern coast.
It has branded the US strikes “operations that more firmly locked down the Strait of Hormuz and strengthened the resolve of the fighters to suppress the intervening foreign forces in the Strait of Hormuz”.
