Qatar’s foreign ministry says that renewed Iranian attacks on Kuwait constitute a violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a breach of international law, Al Jazeera reports.
The ministry said in a statement that the continuation of the attacks risked complicating efforts to contain tensions and could undermine diplomatic efforts aimed at regional security and stability. It said Iran bears legal responsibility for the attacks and their consequences.
Qatar said it stood in solidarity with Kuwait and supported measures Kuwait takes to preserve its sovereignty and security, the statement added. It called for an end to military actions in the region, restraint from further escalation, and a return to dialogue and negotiations based on previously reached diplomatic understandings.
