Trump claims US has 'virtually unlimited' stockpiles of ammunition

President Donald Trump claims in a Truth Social post that the US has a “virtually unlimited” stockpile of ammunition and has taken a swipe at media outlets covering reports of dwindling US ammunition stores.

Addressing the “treasonous scum” whom he claims are not providing accurate reports on the Iran war, he writes, “We have virtually unlimited amounts of mid- to high-grade ammunition, far more than we could ever use for this, or for any other war (which is highly unlikely!), that could improbably take place.

Trump adds that the US is producing “munitions at levels never seen before” and ensuring stockpiling for “any contingency that could happen”.

“We are taking them for ourselves, the USA, rather than selling them to others, but the sales to allies will soon again begin,” he writes.
