Iran's IRGC kills two 'terrorists' reportedly linked to US and Israel: state media

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that “terrorists” linked to the US and Israel were successfully targeted in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Baluchistan Province, state news agency IRNA reports.

According to a statement released by the Quds Headquarters and carried by the IRGC’s news outlet, “the terrorist team was identified and targeted in a joint operation involving the General Directorate of Intelligence, the IRGC Intelligence Unit in Sistan-Baluchistan, and the provincial police,” IRNA adds.

The statement says that two people were killed in the operation and that the group had been plotting terrorist attacks against preselected targets.

“However, it was targeted before it could conduct any terrorist operation,” IRNA reports quoting the statement.
