Qatar’s foreign ministry has issued a statement denouncing Iran’s overnight ballistic missile barrage launched at Jordan, Al Jazeera reports.

“We condemn the renewal of Iran’s attacks on Jordan and consider them a violation of its sovereignty and a breach of international law,” the ministry says in a post on X. “Continuation of Iranian aggression is an escalation that will complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine diplomatic endeavours.”

The statement adds, “We hold Iran fully legally responsible for this aggression and all the resulting repercussions and consequences. We emphasise the necessity of halting all military operations and aggression that threatens the region’s security and stability.”
