An adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has called the advance in Yemen by Houthi fighters a “resounding victory”, after they seized a key island in the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait, AFP reports.
“Congratulations on this resounding victory, Ansar Allah,” Mohammad Mokhber wrote on X, referring to the Houthi rebels by their formal name.
