China offers role in US-Iran peace process

China has offered to mediate between the US and Iran and help bring about peace in the tumultuous Middle East, according to Al Jazeera.

“China is willing to work with fellow Brics members to play a role in achieving peace and stability in the Middle East and the Gulf region,” President Xi Jinping tells Beijing’s Xinhua news agency in New Delhi, on the sidelines of the Brics summit.
