Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan says the security of the Gulf cannot be achieved without respect for the sovereignty of the region’s countries, Al Jazeera reports

“Gulf Cooperation Council states will not tolerate targeting of their territories,” he said.

“We affirm the importance of freedom of navigation and the safety of commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz and all maritime passages,” the minister also said, adding that any disruption in maritime passages will also disrupt global markets, supply chains, and economic growth.
