The southern Iranian province of Bushehr exported more than $2.3bn worth of goods between March and August despite the US naval blockade, according to the region’s customs office, the IRNA reports.

The head of the province’s customs office, Ali Soleimani, said that 5.1 million tonnes of goods were exported during the five-month period,

Soleimani said petrochemical products and various liquefied gases were among the items most exported from Bushehr, adding that the province has sold goods to 32 countries this year, including China, the UAE and Pakistan.
