Esmaeil Baqaei has dismissed allegations of Iran’s involvement in a recent attack from Iraqi soil that struck Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline, saying that Washington is making false claims to deepen disputes between regional countries and complicate the situation, IRNA reports.

“There is absolutely no truth to the claim made by US officials regarding Iran’s involvement in these developments, and it is categorically denied,” Baqaei said during his weekly press conference in Tehran.

He added that the US continues to make false allegations to create divisions between countries in the Middle East and complicate the situation amid tensions.
