UN chief says world needs IAEA's impartiality 'more than ever'

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres says that amid global uncertainty, “our world needs the IAEA’s impartiality & technical excellence more than ever”.

In a message posted on X, the UN chief highlights that the nuclear watchdog works to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons and its role in civil nuclear science and technology is spurring development around the world.
