UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham is mulling whether to help Saudi Arabia counter attacks from the Houthi rebels in Yemen as concerns rise over the economic impact of the conflict, Bloomberg reports.

The outlet, citing people “familiar with the matter”, said Burnham has received requests from Saudi Arabia for a range of diplomatic and military support.

Those requests include operational support for the Saudi military to repel Houthis’ push south along Yemen’s Red Sea coast toward the Bab al-Mandab strait, as well as help to defend against strikes on its territory and oil infrastructure, the sources said.
