The Houthi foreign ministry insists navigation is still safe in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, accusing Saudi Arabia of trying to “mislead the international community” about the waterway, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement carried by Saba news agency, the ministry claims the group has every right to target “hostile Saudi military buildups”.

“If the world desires stability and calm in the region, it must tell Saudi Arabia: ‘Enough interference in Yemeni affairs,’” the Houthi ministry adds.
