Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has condemned Houthi forces’ “reprehensible drone attack” targeting Makkah.

“Such a provocative act violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, gravely offends the religious sentiments of the Muslims worldwide, and threatens regional peace and security,” he has said in a statement posted on X.

Dar has further reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia “in safeguarding the sanctity and security of the Two Holy Mosques, the Haramain Sharifain, and ensuring the safety of pilgrims, citizens and residents”.
