QUETTA: Two women formerly associated with banned organisations have expressed deep remorse over their past actions, saying banned outfits misled innocent girls and pushed them onto the wrong path.

Addressing a press conference, Khadija Pir Jan, who hails from the Tump area of Turbat, said she had been studying nursing at BMC College in Quetta.

Her husband, Hasil, alias Doda, was associated with the banned BLF.

After her husband’s death, she said, her brother and his associates misled and recruited her. Khadija said that after being taken into custody in Quetta, she realised her mistake and was deeply ashamed of her actions.

The second woman, Safia Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Basima in Washuk district, said her cousin Israr was linked with the banned BLA and had made her part of the organisation.

Safia said she had been brainwashed against Pakistan and incited against the country.
