Rubio says US will meet obligations under defence agreement with Saudi Arabia

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Washington will stand by security commitments to Saudi Arabia, amid Riyadh’s fighting with Yemen’s Houthi rebels, Al Jazeera reports.

“We have a defence agreement with Saudi Arabia. We intend to live up to our commitments on it. We will,” Rubio tells US broadcaster Fox News. “That is a very dangerous and complicated conflict.”
