Family members of the students say their academic sessions at various medical institutions in Afghanistan had ended a few weeks ago and they were eager to return to their cities.
The Taliban regime is attempting to use propaganda tools to portray itself as a victim, rather than a terror sponsor. The reality, however, cannot be obscured in this age of technology enabled transparency.
Ministry also seeks daily reports from July 11 on the number of Afghan nationals found without valid visas, the action taken against them, and their status.
“A peaceful, stable, and economically resilient Afghanistan is essential for the dignified return and sustainable reintegration of Afghan nationals,” he says.
Hamish Falconer says that security threats emanating from Afghanistan do not remain confined within its borders, could affect neighbouring countries and beyond.
"We’re still doing our best to ensure ... [our] efforts achieve long-lasting peace through another session here in Islamabad, and we are hopeful that will happen,” he says.
“Such unwarranted remarks, without linking them to the root cause of terrorism, do not offer a balanced and objective perspective,” FO spokesperson says.
“These engagements once again substantiate Pakistan’s repeated stance regarding the abject failure of the Afghan Taliban regime to ensure effective border management on their side,” it says.
