Stories and their impact

This is with reference to the cover story “Stories and their impact” by Tanzila Asim Zafar (YW, November 14). I agree with the writer that reading stories is a great way to learn about our world. Moreover, through reading or listening to stories one can develop good manners. Hence, it will not be wrong to say that reading stories is a great way to learn to distinguish between good and bad.

The cover story “Stories and their impact” by Tanzila Asim Zafar teaches us the value of listening to stories and reading books. These days, we have gone far away from reading and listening to the stories and are more interested in digital world. However, in old days, parents or grandparents used to tell their kids stories about famous personalities and cultures from around the world.

I would insist that we read books and stories because this is the great way to increase our knowledge and vocabulary.

Nothing is impossible

This is with reference to the article “Nothing is impossible” by Ayesha Ilyas (YW, November 14). The simple saying ‘nothing is impossible’ has a great power to overcome negativity and pessimism. Life is complicated and full of hardships. But with an optimistic approach, we can be successful. So we should believe in ourselves and know that everything is possible if we keep on trying.

One of the simplest things you can do is to appreciate yourself and everyone else, it gives positive energy to you and to the people you appreciated, even if they were not enough good.

Nature speaks up

This is with reference to the story “Nature speaks up” by Yashal Fatima (YW, November 14). I enjoyed reading the conservation among Ground, Trees, Ocean, and The Glaciers, and the Wind, etc.

The writer wanted to convey that it is high time we, humans, should take care of Mother Earth and stop polluting it in a number of ways, as only then we and the earth will prosper.

Where is everybody?

This is regarding the story “Where is everybody?” by Nimra Khan (YW, November 21). It was an amazing story. My favourite part of the story was when everyone surprised the girl in the supposedly deserted building. I hope YW will keep publishing such amazing stories always.
