ISLAMABAD: Four people lost their lives to Covid-19 on Friday while 250 were diagnosed with the disease in Rawalpindi and Islamabad districts. The positivity ratio in the the capital was recorded at 3.2pc while it stood at 6.2pc in Pindi.

The deceased were identified as Gulzar Begum, 80, resident of Gujar Khan, who was brought to Fauji Foundation Hospital on Sept 9, and Fahmeeda Kousar, 60, resident of Satellite Town, who was admitted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU) on Sept 9.

Officials said the death of a female (60-69) and a male patient (80-89) was reported in the federal capital. The deceased were residents of Rawat and F-10.

During the last 24 hours, 5,212 tests were conducted in the capital.

The officials said 36 cases were reported in the age group of 30-39, followed by 29 in 40-49, 26 in 20-29, 21 in 0-9, 17 in 10-19, 16 each in 50-59 and 60-69, nine in 70-79 and one in 80 and above.

Likewise, nine cases were reported from G-13, followed by seven each in G-10 and E-11, six cases each from G-9 and Rawat, five cases each from Loi Bher, F-11 and G-8, four cases each from Bhara Kahu, G-7, Chak Shahzad, I-10, I-8 and F-10, three cases each from Tarlai, G-6, F-8 and Chirrah, two cases each from I-9, Koral, Model Town, Sihala and I-12, and one case each from G-11, Sohan, F-6, Khanna, G-5, Alipur, F-7, B-17, F-5, Bari Imam, E-7 and H-11.

There are currently 2,832 active cases in the capital out of which 147 are admitted in hospitals, 128 are on oxygen support and 19 are placed on ventilators while the rest are isolated in their houses.

Meanwhile, 69 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery during the last 24 hours in the Rawalpindi district.

As per data shared by the District Health Authority, 1,262 samples were collected out of which 1,183 were declared negative.

In Rawalpindi district, there are 1,396 active patients - 130 in hospitals and 1,266 home isolated.

As many as 17 patients were from cantonment areas, 11 from Potohar Town and 17 from Rawal Town. Six patients each are from Gujar Khan and Kallar Syedan, seven from Taxila, three from Kahuta, seven from Murree whereas one patient each arrived from Kotli Sattian, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Attock, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Mianwali.

As many as18 patients were admitted in Holy Family Hospital, 37 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 47 in Rawalpindi Institute of Urology (RIU), three in District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, 18 in Fauji Foundation Hospital, four in Bilal Hospital, two in Hearts International Hospital and one in Begum Akhtar Rukhsana Hospital.

There are eight patients on ventilators in the district, 63 are on oxygen support and 59 are stable.
