World’s largest colouring book

A Guinness World Record was broken when organisers unveiled the world’s largest colouring book at the 22nd Annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk, an annual fundraiser for Service Dogs Inc., at the Camp Mabry Parade Grounds in Austin.

It also featured the release of Becoming Kaxan, a new children’s book based on the life of Kaxan, the official ‘spokesdog’ of KXAN-TV, one of the event’s sponsors.

Organisers unveiled a giant colouring book version of Becoming Kaxan, which measures 195 square feet. Attendees used over 500 markers to colour in the book.

Skeletal ‘alien’ hand on beach!

Beachgoers Leticia Gomes Santiago, and Devanir Souza, stumbled upon the strange sight on the sands in Ilha Comprida, São Paulo State, Brazil — a eerie hand with long bony fingers!

Marine biologist Eric Comin stated that the unusual ‘hand’ belonged to a cetacean, which is an aquatic mammal that includes whales, dolphins, and porpoises. But further tests are needed to determine exactly which one.

Based on the images and state of decomposition, it is likely the cetacean died at sea around 18 months ago. Due to its size, the bones probably belonged to a dolphin, especially as they are commonly found in the region.

Man builds 50-story house of cards

A Chinese man put his precision to the test by building a 50-story house of cards in a single day to break a Guinness World Record.

Tian Rui of Qingdao, Shangdong Province, took on the record for tallest house of cards built in 12 hours and completed his 50-level structure in only five hours and four minutes.

The finished house of cards measured 11 feet, 0.7 inches tall.

Guinness World Records required the house to remain standing for at least 10 minutes to qualify for the record.

Angler reels in 67.4-pound goldfish

A British angler, fishing in France, had his photos go viral after he reeled in a monster 67.4-pound goldfish.

Bluewater Lakes, a carp fishery in Champagne, posted photos to Facebook showing Andy Hackett, posing with his prize catch, a massive goldfish known locally as “The Carrot.”

The goldfish was put into the lake 15 years ago to give anglers something interesting to catch, but it wasn’t until last year that the fish was noted to have grown to a size in excess of 60 pounds.

Bluewater Lakes shared a video of The Carrot being returned to the water after being weighed and photographed.
