BAHAWALPUR: The Kahror Pacca Saddar police in Lodhran district claimed to have arrested on Thursday two suspected rapists of two women.

According to police, the suspect ‘S’, was arrested in connection with FIR No. 239/26, registered under sections 376 and 292 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

The victim, ‘M’, stated she frequently visited a neighbour’s house for embroidery training. On Feb 15, 2026, the suspect, an acquaintance of the neighbour, found the victim alone and allegedly raped her.

During the assault, the suspect took explicit photographs. He used these to blackmail her, threatening to leak the content on social media and demanding cash and gold jewellery.

The victim remained silent due to fear until March 27, 2026. After paying Rs80,000, she finally told her parents about the issue.

Following the registration of the FIR, the suspect fled the village. After conducting multiple raids on various hideouts, police arrested him on Thursday.

In the second incident, on April 10, the suspect ‘Kz’ allegedly barged into the home of victim ‘K’ while she was alone. He allegedly raped her at gunpoint before fleeing the scene.

The victim reported the assault to her father-in-law, ‘Al’, who informed the police. The Kahror Pacca Saddar police registered FIR No. 253/26 under section 376 of the PPC.

After several days in hiding, the suspect was tracked down and arrested during a police raid on Thursday. Both suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
