LAHORE: Pakistan will host Sri Lanka for a Test and T20 International series before staging a tri-nation One-day International series, also involving England, during October-November this year.

According to an announcement made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday, Pakistan will first host Sri Lanka for three T20I matches played from Oct 9 to 13 in Rawalpindi. They will arrive in Islamabad on Oct 4.

Then England will also arrive in Rawalpindi to play the tri-nation series in the same city commencing from Oct 18. While Rawalpindi will hold three matches of the tri-series, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will stage the last four matches, including the Oct 31 final.

After this, Sri Lanka will play a two-Test series starting in Rawalpindi on Nov 9. The second Test will start in Lahore on Nov 17.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board will host Sri Lanka and England men’s cricket teams for bilateral and tri-series from Oct 9 to Nov 21,” the PCB announced on Wednesday.

“Sri Lanka will arrive on Oct 4 to feature in a three-match T20I series, which will be played in Rawalpindi from Oct 9 to 13. Following the T20I series, England [squad] will arrive in Pakistan to take part in an ODI tri-series, scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from Oct 18 to 31.

“At the conclusion of the tri-series, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will compete in a two-match Test series, which will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27. The first Test will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi from Nov 9 to 13, while the second Test will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from Nov 17 to 21,” the announcement added.
