GUJRAT: In a gruesome incident, a four-year-old girl was allegedly abducted, raped and killed by her 13-year-old cousin at Kareem Daad village in Jalalpur Jattan Saddar police precincts.
As per police sources, complainant Zeeshan Haider stated that his four-year-old daughter Noor Fatima had gone missing on Aug 27. She was last seen with her cousin Faizan (13).
The father lodged the complaint with the police after failing to trace her on his own.
The police initially registered a case against the suspect under Section 363 of PPC (Kidnapping a person) and started investigation.
Sources in the police say that the suspect was taken into custody and during the investigation, he confessed to have lured his minor cousin to a deserted place on the pretext of buying her ice cream, where he subjected her to rape. The suspect told the police that as the girl fell unconscious, he stuffed her into a sack and threw it into a rainwater drain.
A Rescue 1122 search operation is underway to trace and retrieve the body from the drain.
Earlier, on Aug 26, three women – two sisters and a two-year-old daughter of one of them were found dead in a pond at Dinga town in Gujrat district.
Though the police are initially treating the deaths as a drowning incident, further investigation is underway.
WOMAN RAPED, MURDERED: A mother of five was allegedly raped and killed by a relative of her husband at Lala Chak village in Jalalpur Jattan Saddar police precincts on Friday.
Initial reports say that on Thursday night, the woman (F) was at her house, along with the children, while her husband was hospitalised. Late in the night, suspect Ali Hamza, a nephew of F’s husband, allegedly forced his entry into the house and raped her. To conceal his crime, the suspect hit the woman’s head with a stone and strangled her to death.
A police team called to the scene by the locals recovered the body from the house and shifted it to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital. The doctors handed over the body to the victim’s family.
