PESHAWAR: The Governor of the NWFP has promulgated the NWFP Qaumi Razakars Ordinance, 1951, which extends to the whole of the Frontier Province and shall come into force with immediate effect, states a Press communique… . According to the provisions of the Ordinance, the District Magistrate in any district may constitute for the district, a body to be called the Qaumi Razakars, the members of which shall discharge such functions in relation to the maintenance of law and order, the work of national reconstruction and the organisation of the internal defence of the country as may be assigned to them in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance… .
