A liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tanker transiting outbound from the Strait of Hormuz has been hit by debris from unknown projectiles, Reuters reports citing the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO).
“A master has reported [that] an LPG tanker has been hit by debris from unknown projectiles. The master reports all crew are safe and [there is] no environmental impact. The tanker will continue to its next port of call,” the alert reads.
UKMTO adds that authorities are investigating the incident.
