RAWALPINDI: As many as 41 PTI workers and activists have been arrested by police in the district of Rawalpindi.
PTI district president Ch. Ameer Afzal said that in the last two days 41 workers had been arrested and shifted to Bhakhar, but “we will continue our efforts to mobilise people for the Islamabad protest on September 27.”
He said the PTI leadership had directed the party’s Rawalpindi chapter to reach Islamabad before the protest and in this regard all arrangements had been finalised.
He said the workers will join the rally coming from Peshawar within Islamabad for which all arrangements had been made.
