Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated that the country will use nuclear energy for progress, noting that Tehran will not give up its rights to nuclear technology.
“For years, they have labelled centrifuges, international sanctions [and] other labels when it comes to our nuclear technology, but for our country, peaceful nuclear technology is part of our inherent progress,” he says before the UN General Assembly, adding that nuclear technology is key for medical treatment, food security and industrial progress.
“We will not bow our head and give up the right that is inherently ours. We say it clearly: no nuclear weapons, and no limitations to peaceful nuclear technology,” Pezeshkian adds. “Our peace will not come in the field of battle.”
