Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has met Iran’s President Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on social media.
“The meeting will discuss Pakistan-Iran relations and the situation in the region,” the PMO said.
It noted that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are also present at the meeting, as well as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
