Iran’s military has warned that all US deployment centres and interests in the region will be targeted if Washington “makes a mistake” against the country, Al Jazeera reports, citing Iran’s Mehr news agency.
The warning, attributed to the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Iran’s top operational military command, comes as Tehran awaits a US response to its seven-day plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran will not start the war, but if the enemy imposes it, Iran is ready to defend its security and territorial integrity,” the military said.
