ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is going to establish three sports arenas in different parts of the city.

CDA Chairman Sohail Ashraf said the establishment of the sports arenas at D-12/1, G-11/3 Markaz and F-8 Markaz would provide citizens with state-of-the-art sports facilities.

“The Sports Arenas will feature a diverse range of modern facilities, including indoor swimming pools, branded indoor gyms, futsal courts, cricket cages, indoor and outdoor padel courts, basketball facilities, multipurpose sports halls, indoor kids’ play areas, health bars and administrative facilities, along with landscaping, parking and dedicated tracks,” says a press release issued by the CDA on Sunday.

The chairman stated that providing modern sports infrastructure is an important component of CDA’s vision for a healthier, more vibrant and citizen-friendly Islamabad.

He said citizens should have access to quality sporting facilities in different parts of the city, enabling them to pursue sports, fitness and recreational activities in a modern, safe and conducive environment.

The financing of these projects will be through CDA’s own resources, with execution through open competitive bidding under PPRA Rules.
