Iran’s Ambassador and Chargé d’Affaires to the United Nations in New York, Gholamhossein Darzi, says the latest threats made by US President Donald Trump to “annihilate” Iran are grave and alarming because they were issued from the podium of the United Nations, IRNA reports.
Darzi made the remarks in a letter dated September 27 to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and President of the UN Security Council Jérôme Bonnafont.
The letter was in response to Trump’s address at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 22, during which he threatened the annihilation of Iran.
