PESHAWAR: Awami National Party secretary for foreign affairs Sardar Hussain Babak on Monday criticised the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government over its ‘lacklustre’ policy against terrorism.

In a statement issued here, Sardar Babak said terrorism, lawlessness, inflation and unemployment had deeply troubled people in KP.

He said security forces and civilians were being attacked, while CM Afridi was concentrating on an ‘aimless’ protest march.

Mr Babak said university teachers were protesting non-payment of salaries, while young people were increasingly disappointed by a lack of job opportunities. He claimed that the KP chief minister was not taking his responsibilities seriously and urged him to focus on the province’s affairs.

Over the past 13 years, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been moving towards anarchy and destruction, he claimed. He said Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was the PTI chairman, but Sohail Afridi took decisions.
