DERA MURAD JAM­A­­LI: Train service between Quetta and Jaffarabad was suspended on Monday after unidentified miscreants blew up a portion of the main railway track with a hand grenade near the Domboli area of Nasirabad district.

According to police, the bomb blast took place at the main railway track when the Jaffar Express was about to reach the area.

“Unidentified people at­­ta­cked the railway track with a hand grenade at Gulab-Lahro area,” a police official said, adding that a portion of the track was damaged in the blast.

Police and other security personnel reached the area after having received information and started an investigation. Railway officials said that repair work of the damaged track has been started.

Meanwhile, two people were killed and another was injured in a firing incident in Subhani area of Nasirabad.

Police said three unidentified armed men on a motorbike opened fire on a car, killing two persons travelling in the car.
