Former MQM leader joins Pak Sarzameen Party

A former member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MPA Shaikh Abdullah announced on Wednesday that he has joined former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal's Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), reported DawnNews.

The announcement precedes the first anniversary of PSP’s founding.

Addressing media in the metropolis's Nishtar Park, the PSP chief welcomed Abdullah to the political party.

Abdullah, who contested elections from Karachi's Surjani Town, said he gave a long and hard thought before he decided to change his party affiliation.

"I am joining PSP without any pressure," he said, adding he was unhappy with MQM-London chief Altaf Hussain.

"Though I spent some 30 years with MQM, the chief's recent speech compelled me to leave the party," he said.

"I will also resign from my seat in the [provincial] assembly and work as a party worker," Abdullah added.

"We cannot remain in contact with those who are against Pakistan," said Shaikh.

The PSP chief elaborated on the the party's upcoming anniversary celebration, saying, "Workers from across Pakistan will gather in Nishtar Park tomorrow and the Mohajirs will host them."

If he is unhappy with Altaf Hussain then he should be remain at MQM-P whats's the point of join PSP. MQM-P already separate themself from MQM London. There is always a inside story which we are not aware. As a Karachite I request Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar that please join hands together to work for the Karachites. Divide and rule is not our policy, be united. MK only got issues with AH and now he is no more then what's the fuss to join hand with MQM-P.

Parting away from a man,who diatribe our beloved nation, is an appreciatable action. And joining any other political party as his free choice.So far so good PSP under able leadership of Syed Mustafa Kamal is sailing smoothly,non- violence,unbiased,national characteristics,this party is bound to grab many national & provincial seats in next elections.

@Sab se pehle pakistan There is no such thing like this... if you are following the developments, PSP leaders are still facing arrests, investigations and trial. There is nothing like this.

It is forth generation rising now after partition and time for us to stop calling them mohajirs. Urdu is our National Language which had worked as the strongest force of uniting Muslims and working jointly in creating Pakistan. It should still remain a force for uniting all provinces and other areas.
