Users send out 58 million tweets per day, with 9,100 happening every second. However, there are 222 million Twitters who just watch other people’s tweets.
Ninety-one percent of mobile internet access is for social activities with 73 percent of smartphone owners accessing social networks through apps at least once per day.
Instagram has already had more than 16 billion photos uploaded since debuting in 2010. Five million photos are uploaded daily.
There are nearly twice as many users on WhatsApp as on Instagram. Instagram boasts 430 million monthly users while the global messaging app WhatsApp hosts 950 million.
