PTI Chairperson Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has said that the nation stands united against Indian aggression and welcomed PM Shehbaz’s offer for talks with the opposition.
Speaking in the National Assembly on Wednesday, he said: “Today, politics has been silenced, and on both sides [of the aisle], the whole nation is united for Pakistan’s defence.”
Referring to his meeting with the NA speaker earlier in the day, he added, “Despite being sidelined, let’s put an end to these [differences].”
He said that the PTI supported the government as the country also belonged to them, and that he welcomed PM Shehbaz’s offer for talks with the opposition.
Addressing the speaker, he said, “As a nation, we have responded swiftly, and if India makes the same mistake, it will be given a befitting response.”
He recalled former premier Imran Khan’s statement in 2019 that Pakistan would not think but would retaliate if attacked.
