KARACHI: A man was shot dead and two others were wounded in an attack allegedly carried out by their relatives over a monetary dispute in the SITE area on Friday, police said.

DIG-South Syed Asad Raza told Dawn that the firing incident took place near Habib Bank Chowrangi.

He said that both parties were heading towards the City Courts in connection with the hearing of a case pertaining to a monetary transaction dispute.

The police said that Farmanullah, Amanullah, Zeeshan and Amir Sohail were riding on two motorcycles when suspect Amjad Saleem, who was traveling in a car, stopped Farman. After an exchange of heated arguments, the suspect opened fire, resulting in killing of Farman and injuries to Aman, Zeeshan.

The DIG said that suspect Saleem was arrested from the scene and a case was registered with the SITE-A police station.
