The Bad Guys 2 brings back the wild and adorable gang of reformed animal criminals in another exciting adventure from DreamWorks! This sequel to The Bad Guys (2022) is based on the popular children’s books by Australian author Aaron Blabey. If you’ve read the books, you’ll enjoy the movie. If you haven’t, you might want to start reading them after watching!
Just like before, the story takes place in a world where humans and talking animals live together. Mr Wolf (voiced by Sam Rockwell) is back, along with his friends Mr Snake (Marc Maron), Mr Shark (Craig Robinson), Mr Piranha (Anthony Ramos) and Ms Tarantula (Awkwafina). Also returning is Diane Foxington (Zazie Beetz), but this time she’s not the sneaky “Crimson Paw” — she’s now the governor!
In this latest adventure, the Bad Guys meet a clever all-girl gang called the Bad Girls, with big ideas and wild plans. Kitty Kat (Danielle Brooks) is a smart snow leopard and the leader, Pigtail (Maria Bakalova) is a genius wild boar who builds cool gadgets and Doom (Natasha Lyonne) is a super-sharp raven. The tech billionaire reminiscent of Elon Musk is hilarious, as well as Mr Moon, who owns a space rocket. When a powerful new metal called MacGuffinite goes missing, the team must go on one last big heist to save the day. Wolf gives in and leads Snake, Shark, Piranha and Tarantula into the ‘one last heist’, but there’s a twist: the police commissioner is watching closely, and presence of a silly but intelligent tech billionaire is also part of the chaos.
The movie is full of action, laughs and fun moments. It feels like a mix of Mission: Impossible, James Bond and Men in Black, with excellent animation, comic-book style graphics and bright, dramatic scenes.
The Bad Guys 2 is 104 minutes long, making it perfect for people like you who don’t like to watch lengthy films. It’s packed with funny moments, wild adventures and important lessons about friendship, trust and staying true to what’s right. Whether you’re a kid or an adult, you’ll enjoy this fast, fun and stylish sequel!
