Rowing through fear
This is with reference to the story “Rowing through fear” by Sidra Sozer (YW, October 18th). The story was inspiring because it showed how to stay calm during problems.
The best way to handle difficult situations is to remain composed and focus on finding solutions, instead of becoming anxious. Giving in to fear can make problems even worse. We should learn, and also teach our children, to stay calm and thoughtful when dealing with life’s uncertainties.

The chocolate heaven
This is regarding the story “The chocolate heaven” by Shiza Waseem (YW, November 1st). I liked the story very much because it had a fresh feel and touched on simple moral lessons like hard work, believing in yourself and not giving up, and how following all this can actually bring success in one’s life.

Wonder craft
This is relates to the Wonder Craft section, “Hanging vase” by The Crafter (YW, November 8). It was a lovely craft and the best thing was that it was made from just simple stuff that we already have around the house.
I love to read the crafts section and would like to see more easy crafts that are suitable for girls and also can be shared between friends.

Raindrops and real heroes
This is with reference to the story “Raindrops and real heroes” by Fatimah Khurrum (YW, November 8).
The story was very touching and showed how a normal school day can turn into a long and stressful experience during heavy rain in Karachi. The description was simple, but it felt very real.
What stood out the most was the kindness shown by a friend’s family. In such hard times, acts of care and support remind us that real heroes are not the ones in movies, but the people who help others in difficult moments.

Comfortably numb
This is regarding the article “Comfortably numb” by Zaina Safdar (YW, November 15).
The article was thought-provoking and it made me reflect on how small choices in everyday life can shape our character and attitude over time. The example of choosing a mango may sound small, but it showed how ignoring little chances to do the right thing can slowly make a person stop caring.
