KARACHI: A teenage girl took her own life in her house in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on Monday afternoon, police said.
They added that Sakeena Qarar Ahmed, 18, became upset after a quarrel with her parents over some domestic issues. She locked herself inside a room in her house located on Khayaban-i-Shamsheer. She then “took out her father’s licensed pistol from a drawer” and shot herself, officials added.
Consequently, she sustained critical wounds and was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where she died during treatment.
