Mothers of inventions

This is regarding the article “Mothers of inventions” by Marvi Soomro (YW, May 9).

The article was inspiring as well as informative because it showed how ordinary daily struggles can lead to extraordinary ideas. People often overlook the intelligence and creativity behind household work, but this article highlighted how many inventions came directly from women trying to solve practical problems.

Mother’s Day

This is with reference to the articles “Mothers of inventions” by Marvi Soomro and “A mother to all children” by Saira Owais Adil (YW, May 9).

Both pieces beautifully highlighted different sides of motherhood. One showed how mothers changed the world through creativity and practical inventions, while the other reflected the emotional strength, kindness and care that mothers extend not only to their own children, but to others as well.

These two pieces reminded readers that motherhood is not limited to household responsibilities alone; it also carries intelligence, compassion, sacrifice and problem-solving skills. Together, these pieces made for a thoughtful and meaningful Mother’s Day tribute.

Rethinking schools in the AI age

This is with reference to the article “Rethinking schools in the AI age” by Muhammad Abdullah Altaf (YW, May 16).

These days, technology and AI are changing the way people learn, and there is also a debate about how much AI should be used. While we cannot reject these tools, as that is not a practical solution, there should be a balance.

Moreover, the writer’s focus on issues like overcrowded classrooms and the commercialisation of schools made the article thought-provoking and relevant.
