KARACHI: Police on Thursday claimed to have gunned down two suspected robbers during an “encounter” in New Karachi.
A police spokesperson said two armed suspects were looting a citizen near Dua Chowk, Sector-F-5, New Karachi, when a patrolling police party reached there. On seeing the law enforcers, the suspects resorted to firing. In an ensuing exchange of gunfire, both suspects were gunned down.
Three pistols, one snatched cell phone and wallet, one motorcycle and cash were recovered from their custody.
