Cook-it-yourself: Biscoff banana mug cake

Who says you need an oven, lots of ingredients or fancy baking skills to enjoy a delicious cake? This Biscoff banana mug cake is here to prove that making a sweet treat can be as easy as mixing, microwaving and digging in! It’s quick, fuss-free and just the recipe you need when a sudden cake craving strikes.

With the sweetness of banana, the rich flavour of Biscoff and a soft, fluffy centre, this little mug cake packs plenty of deliciousness into one serving.

So, grab a mug, mash that banana and get ready to whip up your very own cake in just a few minutes!

Ingredients:

• 3 tablespoons flour

• 1 tablespoon cookie butter

• 1 tablespoon oil

• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

• 1 teaspoon honey

• 1 banana

• 1 egg

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• A pinch of salt

Method:

In a microwave safe ramekin, mash the banana until it’s a smooth mush.

Whisk in the oil, honey, egg and vanilla.

Add the flour, cookie butter, baking powder and salt. Mix until well incorporated. Top with crushed biscuits.

Bake in the microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds, or until a fork comes out clean when inserted.

Top with more cookie butter and a biscuit and enjoy!
