ISLAMABAD: The federal government has supported the launch of over 4,100 new businesses, attracting over Rs6.6 billion in investment and creating over 20,000 jobs.

These milestones have been achieved through the Business Facilitation Centre (BFC), said Fed­e­ral Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh on Monday.

Highlighting these ach­ievements, he reiterated that the centre’s core ob­­jective remains to actively stimulate business activity, foster a favourable investment climate, and facilitate the widespread creation of employment opportunities across the country.

He expressed these views while evaluating the BFC’s one-year performa­nce.

Mr Sheikh said that a total footfall of 8,554 individuals was recorded at the BFC during the year.

The highest number of applications, 1,288, was received in December 2025, followed by 1,264 in January and 859 in July. The minister said that the BFC provides businesses and investors with access to essential information, guidance and relevant services through a single platform, eliminating the need to repeatedly visit different government offices.

This is helping save time and simplify business procedures. Mr Sheikh said that improving the Ease of Doing Business remains a key priority of the government so that local and foreign investors can start and expand their business activities in Pakistan with greater ease.
