DERA MURAD JAMALI: Four members of a family, including a woman, her two sons and a daughter, were killed when an air-conditioner compressor exploded in a room in Dera Murad Jamali town of Nasirabad district.

Police said the tragic incident took place late on Saturday evening in Mohalla Rasool Shah, at the house of a police employee, Shahid Abro.

They said the family was inside the bedroom when the AC compressor exploded, seriously injuring all five members, including Mr Abro.

Police rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Dera Murad Jamali district hospital.

They were later referred to Sukkur, where four of them succumbed to their injuries.

Mr Abro was admitted to a hospital in Sukkur. His wife, teenage sons and daughter were buried in a local graveyard.
